Hooters Flocks to Southeast Asia with Two New Locations

Destination Group brings new locations to Singapore and Indonesia

Hooters today unveiled the opening of two new international locations in Southeast Asia. Hooters of Singapore - Fusionopolis and Hooters of Jakarta in Indonesia have officially opened their doors to local guests. Both new locations are led by franchisee Destination Group, a Hooters 2015 Developer of the Year.

Hooters of Jakarta is conveniently located at Jl. Kemang Raya no. 5 inside Kemang Square shopping area. The South Jakarta neighborhood of Kemang is a popular and bustling place known for its upscale shopping centers and residential areas, as well as a lively nightlife. The new 228 square-meter Hooters restaurant will seat 105 guests and boasts more than 16 large-screen televisions.

Hooters of Singapore - Fusionopolis is located in the one-north business park of the Buona Vista district. The 240 square-meter restaurant at 1 Fusionopolis Place accommodates 103 guests and has more than 20 large-screen televisions. Fusionopolis is an integrated work-life-play-learn development, comprising of retail outlets, a fitness club, research and development businesses, and apartments.

The new locations are part of a 35-location Southeast Asia development agreement between Hooters and Singapore-based international franchisee, Destination Group. Along with the recent opening of Hooters of Singapore – Marina Bay and other Hooters restaurants in Asia, the new openings will further bolster Hooters presence across Asia. The franchisee has plans to open additional Hooters locations this spring in Phnom Penh, Cambodia; Samui, Thailand; Taipei, Taiwan; and multiple locations in Manila, the capital of the Philippines.

The new locations will incorporate the latest design features that deliver the familiar, fun-loving persona of the Hooters brand along with contemporary elements that combine to deliver a one-of-a-kind guest experience. While guests will still enjoy Hooters craveable burgers, wings, appetizers and salads, they can expect some additions to the menus to suit local taste buds. These include local sauces such as Singaporean Chili Crab and Indonesian Sambal.
