Hooters Takes Las Vegas: 2017 Miss Hooters International and Wing Eating Champion to Emerge

In a matter of days, two winners will claim two of Hooters most iconic titles

Hooters is taking over Las Vegas this July with back-to-back annual competitions at Palms Casino Resort from July 10-12, including the 21st Annual Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant and Hooters Wing Eating Championship. In a matter of days, two individuals will depart Vegas with bragging rights and impressive titles: 2017 Miss Hooters International and 2017 Hooters Wing Eating Champion.

On Wednesday, July 12, at the Pearl Theater, 81 beautiful Hooters Girls from across the U.S. and around the world will compete in the 21st Annual Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant. The 2017 Miss Hooters International title comes with a $30,000 cash prize and the chance to serve as the face of the iconic brand. The crowned pageant winner will become a brand ambassador, lead the Hooters number 24 Crew in cheering on NASCAR’s No. 24 Chevrolet SS driver Chase Elliott and contribute to marketing initiatives and special events throughout the year.

Contestants are evaluated based on responses to interview questions, personality and overall contribution to the iconic Hooters brand, as well as swimsuit attire. A six-person panel of judges includes

Lynn Austin, the original Hooters Girl; Miesha Tate, former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion; Brittany Oldehoff, Miss USA 2014 fourth runner-up and top fashion and swimsuit model; Steve Covino, host of Covino & Rich on Sirius XM; Bonnie-Jill Laflin, first and only female NBA scout and former NFL cheerleader; and a special surprise celebrity guest!

Hooters fans are invited to vote for Miss Fan Favorite at hooters.com/pageant and follow “hooters” on Snapchat for a backstage pass to all the excitement of the Hooters pageant festivities and wing eating competition. Hooters fans and followers on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook can also follow the pageant action and contestant updates using the hashtag #HootersPageant.

Prior to the Hooters Girls taking center stage, the world’s top professionally-ranked eaters will challenge each other in a grueling 10-minute, all-you-can-eat contest of world-famous Hooters chicken wings. They’re aiming to taste victory in the sixth annual Hooters Wing Eating Championship. With every bite, they’re one step closer to cash prizes and a coveted title of 2017 Hooters Wing Eating Champion.

The event, officially sanctioned by Major League Eating, kicks off poolside at Palms Casino Resort on Monday, July 10. Fans will see defending Hooters Wing Eating Champion Joey Chestnut battle longtime veteran, and 2015 Champion, Matt Stonie, along with other professional eaters. In 2016, Chestnut claimed his fourth Hooters title after eating 194 Hooters world-famous chicken wings in 10 minutes, outperforming Stonie’s 186 wing tally to end his previous year’s reign as Hooters champ.

The championship events will also celebrate Hooters latest craveable wing innovation: Smoked Wings, now available in participating locations across America. Hooters Smoked Wings are marinated overnight with a dry rub before being hickory smoked in-house, with Hooters oven smokers. Guests can then opt to enhance their wings with several dry rub flavors or sauce them with any of Hooters signature sauces, including teriyaki-style samurai, lemon pepper and chipotle honey.

They’re so good Hooters is issuing a warning – Smoking Can Be Addictive. Hooters invites fans to try its new Smoked Wings on National Smoked Chicken Wing Day, celebrated Saturday, July 29. Buy any ten wings and get ten new Hooters Smoked Wings free at participating Hooters locations nationwide. Just try to stop after ten, we dare you.
