International Hooters franchisee Destination Resorts Co. continues to spread its wings

Thailand Leads Hooters Growth in Southeast Asia with Bangkok and Samui Openings Announced

ATLANTA — Following the announcement of the world’s largest international Hooters slated to open this summer in Pattaya, Thailand, Hooters today revealed plans for two more Thai locations in Bangkok and Samui. Both new ventures are part of a 30-location Southeast Asia development agreement between Hooters and Bangkok-based international franchisee, Destination Resorts Co., Ltd., making Thailand the leader in Hooters Southeast Asia expansion efforts. Hooters Bangkok is scheduled to open in early September and Hooters Samui will shortly follow with an October grand opening.

“With its abundance of entertainment districts and the concentration of international tourists flocking to its cities, Thailand has proven to be an ideal location to integrate the unique Hooters concept,” said Gary Murray, CEO, Destination Resorts Co. “Building off of the success of Hooters Phuket, by the end of this year we’ll have four Hooters restaurants established in Thailand, the most out of any other country in Southeast Asia.”

Hooters of Bangkok, located at the Four Points by Sheraton on Sukhumvit, Soi 15, will welcome guests to its 220 seat restaurant with the 290 square foot space in the heart of the bustling Sukhumvit district. There will be 25 beautiful Hooters Girls to serve the famous wings into the early hours every night in this cosmopolitan city.

A rapid light rail system between Bangkok and Pattaya will make it hassle-free for locals and tourists to travel between cities in little more than a half hour, having a tremendous effect on the growth of both already popular cities.

Hooters Samui will be located at Chaweng Beach and will recruit 25 Hooters Girls to serve up Hooters world-famous wings and deliver the unrivalled hospitality known the world over. The beachfront location will seat 220 guests and features a 400 square-foot space.

Murray plans to continue growth in Thailand and concentrate heavily in Hong Kong and the Philippines in the coming years. To learn more about Destination Resorts Co., visit www.destination-properties.com.
